Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their device, connection or ability.
Draft for review. This statement is awaiting approval by LAWODA. Last updated: .
Our aim
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not yet had the site independently audited, so we do not claim full conformance.
What we have done
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and a “skip to main content” link.
- Everything can be used with a keyboard, and the keyboard focus is clearly visible.
- Text and interface colours are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast levels.
- Images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are explained in text, not by colour alone.
- The layout adapts to small screens and to text zoomed up to 200%.
- Animations are minimal and respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Pages are kept light to load well on slower and more expensive mobile connections.
Known limitations
- Documents we publish in future (such as PDF reports) may not always be fully accessible. If you need a document in another format, please ask.
- Linked third-party websites, such as Facebook and maps, are outside our control.
- The website is currently available in English only.
